WHO WE ARE
World Nuts is a modern nut processing and packaging company located in the Mavrikas area of Agrinio, Greece. Our core activity focuses on walnut processing, walnut kernel production and the preparation of products for Greek and international markets.
The expertise behind our operations has been developed through more than a decade of hands-on industry experience. Our production philosophy is based on a deep understanding of raw materials, continuous process improvement and the development of technological solutions designed around real production requirements.
Today, World Nuts combines a processing capacity of up to 60 tons of in-shell walnuts per day with advanced sorting and quality control procedures and modern packaging and palletizing infrastructure.
Our business model supports both contract processing partnerships and our own trading operations.

We continuously invest in the improvement of our technology and production processes, with the goal of creating real and long-term value through every partnership.
STORY & EXPERTISE
The expertise behind World Nuts dates back to 2012, when Christos Zygas began developing specialized walnut processing solutions focused on improving production performance, protecting kernel integrity during cracking and creating a more efficient processing operation.
Our production knowledge has been developed through direct, hands-on experience. Understanding the capabilities and limitations of the equipment allows us to continuously improve the process and adapt production parameters to different raw material characteristics.
An important part of this expertise is connected to our sister company, ZGS, which specializes in the manufacturing of specialized machinery and integrated processing solutions. This know-how has already been implemented across 28 industrial processing facilities in Greece and other European countries, with the World Nuts facility in Agrinio being the largest in terms of processing capacity.
Depending on raw material quality and characteristics, the process can achieve up to 90% walnut halves output.

FACILITY
The World Nuts facilities are located on a total site area of 7,000 m² in the Mavrikas area of Agrinio, Greece, with the main industrial processing facility covering 2,000 m². The facility is organized to support a complete and continuous production flow, from raw material reception to final quality control, packaging, palletizing, storage and dispatch.
