At World Nuts, packaging and palletizing are carried out through well-organized processes and modern automated equipment, with a focus on protecting walnut kernels and ensuring their safe handling through to final delivery.
Following sorting and quality control, walnut kernels are transferred to the packaging line, where they are packed in 10 kg five-ply Full Kraft corrugated cardboard boxes, suitable for professional and wholesale distribution.
Once the boxes are sealed, each box passes through a metal detector as an additional food safety control measure. The process then continues with automated palletizing and storage in World Nuts’ refrigerated storage facilities until scheduled dispatch.
PACKAGING & SAFETY CONTROL
The packaging process focuses on precision, hygiene, and the protection of walnut kernels. The use of durable, five-ply Full Kraft corrugated cardboard boxes helps protect the product during storage, handling, and transportation. Metal detection, performed after the boxes are sealed, provides an additional food safety control before the boxes proceed to palletizing.
AUTOMATED PALLETIZING & COLD STORAGE
The packed boxes are transferred to an automated palletizing and stretch-wrapping system, ensuring load stability and protection during handling and transportation. Pallets are configured according to each customer's requirements, with a typical weight of approximately 600–700 kg. World Nuts operates refrigerated storage facilities where walnut kernels are kept under controlled conditions. Storage and scheduled partial deliveries are also available to accommodate the specific needs of each business partner.
